Recording available for webinar on youth labour

5 April 2023

On 30 March, ECVC farmers, researchers, policy makers and MEPs came together in a webinar to discuss the working and learning conditions of young agricultural workers, as analysed in the report "Navigating Dreams & Precarity: Working and Learning Conditions of Young Agricultural Workers, Interns and Volunteers Across Europe" written by Priscilla Claeys and Barbara Van Dyck Centre for Agroecology, Water and Resilience, CAWR, Coventry University, and published by the ECVC Youth Articulation.

During the launch we heard the main findings and demands from Barbara van Dyck and Priscilla Claeys (CAWR), and of the ECVC Youth Articulation who participated in the study. This was complimented by interventions and responses from Maria Gafo Gomez-Zamalloa (DG AGRI) and Isabel Carvalhais (MEP, S&D) on the importance of including young farmers and young agrcicultural workers in EU agricultural policy, particularly on generational renewal.
