ECVC and the SWIFT project are calling for video contributions from across the membership to help give a voice to women, migrant workers, LGBTQIA+ people and other marginalized groups in agriculture and make their stories more visible.
From 8 March to 28 June, women, migrant workers, LGBTQIA+ people and other marginalized groups among the ECVC and LVC membership, SWIFT consortium members and other farmers and agricultural workers are invited to make short videos to tell their story, to be shared via ECVC and SWIFT social media and online channels.
Video content
What would you like the outside world to see or understand? What do you wish consumers, policy makers, your local community, or another group understood about the challenges you face? The following political topics have been highlighted as potential shared issues, but individuals and organisations are inviting to choose the topics most relevant for them:
- Working conditions and labour rights of women and marginalized groups
- Access to land for women and marginalized groups
- Ending violence against and protecting the lives of women and marginalized groups in rural areas and agriculture
Deadlines
The campaign will be launch around 8 March with a focus on women’s stories for International Women’s Day, and then different contributions will be shared over the following three months, concluding with stories of the LGQBTIA+ community around International Pride Day on 28 June.
For contributions to be shared on ECVC's channels around 8 March, please send your videos to ECVC by 24 Feb.
We ask all final contributions be shared by 24 June if you would like them to be shared on ECVC’s channels.
