Webinar: The Right to Seeds in Europe 24 February 2021 – 18:00-19:30 Summary and video On February 24th, 2021, ECVC organized this webinar on the Right to Seeds, along with the Geneva Academy. It aimed to bring together representatives of peasant organizations, seed networks, parlementarians, academics and experts from all over Europe, in order to discuss about Article 19 of the UNDROP (United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Peasants and Other People Working in Rural Areas, 2018). This declaration was a milestone in our struggle because, in its Article 19, it recognized the peasants’ rights to seeds. Therefore, this webinar tried to address how this specific article shall be taken into account in the revision of EU rules on seeds.
