Enabling citizens to understand and engage in the implications of the F2F Strategy is a key part of improving the connections between farmers and consumers and developing truly sustainable, fairer local food systems.
The Farm to Fork Strategy (F2F), part of the Green Deal for Europe, aims to implement change, achieve sustainable food systems and make Europe the first climate-neutral continent by 2050. It maps a sustainable and inclusive growth strategy to boost the economy, improve health and quality of life and care for nature, and promises to leave no one behind. It involves all the steps of the food chain: agriculture, the transformation industry, the retail sector and public consumption. Enabling citizens to understand and engage in the implications of this strategy is a key part of improving the connections between farmers and consumers and developing truly sustainable, fairer local food systems. This is why ECVC has made a simple, informative fiche on the F2F from a peasant perspective. You can find it here in PDF version.
