Ahead of the meeting of the Council's Working Party on Genetic Resources & Innovation in Agriculture of 1-2 October, ECVC sent jointly with Arche Noah, IFOAM Organics Europe and the Biodynamic Federation Demeter International a joint letter to EU Ministers of Agriculture adressing our main demands in the context of the ongoing negotiations on the plant reproductive material (PRM) file. These include demands related to farmers' seed exchanges, on-farm breeding, conservation and dynamic managment of PRM, as well as concerns related to new varieties such as new local varieties, registration of denominations, and requirements for professionnal operators.
