With this open letter to the EU Commissioners (DG Growth, Agri and Sante) from ECVC, we draw their attention to the dangers of patents on plants and animals. In particular, about the ongoing patenting at the European Patent Office which extends to native traits of plants and animals, although they are no longer legally patentable.
