We are happy to inform you that this year, like many in the past, La Via Campesina will participate in the Oxford Real Farming Conference (#ORFC23) with 6 online sessions, 23 peasant speakers and 6 chairs from different LVC organisations. ORFC23 will take place between the 4 and the 6 of January 2023 in a hybrid format.
In this historical moment characterised by multiple and interlinked crises, the issues and topics which are priority in our movement's agenda will be addressed by the members of LVC. These include the impact of wars; economic violence; resource grabbing on food systems and peasant rights; intersectional struggles towards food justice; the impact of new GMOs on peasant seed systems; the need for people-based solutions for food sovereignty and the key role of youth in the transformation of the food systems.
During the conference LVC will also host an online exhibition space, to give visibility to some our key publications including position documents, photos and videos. All registered participants will be given access to this online exhibition space.
Join us in this inspirational journey made of struggle and hope!
