Meeting of Civil Society Mechanism constituencies of Western Europe, Eastern Europe and Central Asia In September 2013 a face to face joint meeting of the Civil Society Mechanism (CSM) constituencies of Western Europe, Eastern European and Central Asia is organised. The event will take place on the 12th and 13th of September, in Brussels, at MAI (Maison des Associations Internationales), rue Washington 40-1050 Brussels. The meeting has the following objectives: 1. To prepare input for the United Nations -Committee for Food Security (UN-CFS) meeting in October 2013, with a specific focus on responsible agriculture investment; 2. Develop ideas to further strengthen CSM in our regions; 3. Selection of Coordination Committee members: the mandate of current CC members comes to an end in October 2013, also some regions/constituencies still lack of CC member. The CSM is an international mechanism of civil society organisations (CSOs). The purpose of the CSM is to facilitate civil society participation in agriculture, food security and nutrition policy development at national, regional and global levels in the context of the Committee on World Food Security (CFS) of the United Nations.
