For a number of years, we have been developing a space for gender and sexual diversities, bringing together LGBTQI+ peasants and land workers from across Europe who are committed to building and consolidating an articulation on gender and sexual diversities within our organisation.
Within this space, LGBTQI+ peasant farmers and land workers create safe and supportive environments for gender and sexual diversities, improve participation and representation of LGBTQI+ members within our organisational processes, and tackle inequalities related to gender and sexual characteristics in rural areas.
Typical and ongoing activities of this emerging articulation include moments of exchange between LGBTQI+ persons from our member organisations and with internal and external allies, political education sessions, and awareness raising campaigns.
The work lays the foundations for queer-feminist analysis and a political stance from a rural perspective.
